“Hire the right people, then get out of their way” Peter Drucker

No matter how you have finished 2012, I’m hoping you have set yourself up so 2013 will be an even better year.

Of course, there are many ways to do this and the one I’m going to discuss today is the value of ensuring you have a great team around you.  There’s no doubt ‘you are only as strong as your weakest link’ and that’s never been so true as with the team you surround yourself with.
They are literally your arms and legs to get things done, to represent you where needed and alert you to all things, good and bad.

Cultures are built on great teams; groups of people who are good at what they do, work well with others and believe in the big picture.

So with all of this in mind, I’d like to take the opportunity to introduce you to my team.  These people are ‘experts’ in their field and that’s why I have them working with me.

Technical Writing – Fiona has many years experience completing technical writing projects for an impressive variety of industries.  Among the long list of the companies Fiona and her team have produced work for are Aurecon, CASA and Santos.  She teams up with Subject Matter Experts in your company to ensure the end result is exactly what you want.  If you need something written from scratch, updated to legislated standard or perhaps reports which need finessing, Fiona’s our ‘go-to’ person.  Quality reviewing is an added value service we also provide.

Leadership – Helen is an excellent trainer and qualified coach accessing many coaching models including Demartini method when working with individuals and groups. She has over 20 years experience covering numerous geographies and a multitude of cultures.  Teaming up with Leon, they deliver an outstanding leadership program providing participants with the skills to create defined goals, workable strategies, how to increase motivation and enthusiasm and showing each individual how to become the role model that great leaders always are.

Stress Management –Leon works with clients looking for medication-free solutions to stress, anxiety and depression.  Having a medical degree and over 20 years management and leadership experience, Leon is well suited to work with stressed Executives looking to manage their lives better.  As a qualified trainer and coach, he and Helen are a perfect fit to run the Leadership program.

Tender Co-ordination –Katie is the co-ordinator between client and printer.  She ensures everything runs smoothly, that the tenders are quality checked and hand delivered into the tender box on time.  A perfect service for those who run their businesses regionally and need tenders delivered in Brisbane.  Katie also has graphic design experience, so if you need your tender to look more professional than your competitor, she can assist in that area as well.

HR/Recruitment – Nicole has vast experience in Human Resources and Recruitment.  As one of only 20 Master Practitioners in Extended DISC behaviour profiling in Australia, Nicole’s extensive background in the mining/resources sector ensures we can deliver a unique twist to our Recruitment service.  We work with the client to ‘profile’ the role before we even look at our available applicants.  When you do see an applicant from us,  you can rest assured these people have the natural behavioural ‘fit’ with the role. At the interview, you can then choose whether they ‘fit’ with the company.  This is a very unique and powerful way to recruit and will save valuable time, money and frustration.

Communication – Tracey is a great communicator.  As a qualified trainer and coach she understands the link between communication and results.  She is passionate about public speaking and is very aware that most people would prefer not to do it.  A skill vital for great leaders, Tracey ensures her Public Speaking course is interactive and fun.

Managing Director – Glenise – that would be me!  I’m the one who you chat to on the phone and sometimes have coffee with.  I email, comment and blog.  Sometimes I’m on stage, like next years “Engaging & Retaining Women in Low Diversity Environments” workshops being run in 5 capital cities around Australia.  I’m the one who discusses which one of my ‘experts’ is the best fit for you and your company.  With over 30 years corporate and small business experience, I have created SR Group to be a boutique, solutions focused business.  We deliver a quality product  and  I pride myself on rising to the challenge of researching, sourcing and delivering on ‘out of the box’ requests from our clients.
