Don’t you just love end of financial year?  Working out how you went for the previous year and where the money will be allocated for the next financial year to get the biggest bang for the buck.

Every department head will be after more or at least the same amount of money as last financial year – well really, they’ll want more.

Of course, one of the most common things to happen is to reduce the budget allocation for those departments who didn’t manage to spend what they were allocated for the previous year. Didn’t spend it, mustn’t need it, is the usual thinking of those welding the financial sword.

So let’s talk Training. We know people are important. Research says that happy employees are more productive and directly impact the bottom line.

But the reality of having people leave the building to train is disruptive to say the least but I’ll touch on that shortly.

The financial drain on corporations for disengaged employees, bullying, sick leave and lost work days is staggering.  In fact, the wellbeing cost of mental health in Australia for the last financial year has hit $203.1 billion according to Nicholas Gruen, the author of the Australian Wellbeing Index.

$203.1 billion – I don’t even know how many zero’s that is!

Emotional Intelligence or Soft Skill training helps immensely towards empowering employees to tackle the changes happening in their professional and personal lives. Empowered employees are happier and more productive remember.

But training take time right? Disrupts the workplace and the all important workflow.

I’m an expert in Transitioning Change with Confidence and I know that it’s the human side of Change which holds individuals and ultimately businesses back.

Corporations need to change; to innovate constantly to stay competitive. You know that and I know that. But unfortunately that’s not how the majority of employees see it. In fact, over 60% of the population dislike change unless rolled out in a calm and logical manner.

And who do we employ as our Change Managers – usually high energy, results driven, fast-twitch people to get the job done. By the time the company decides to roll out change – they’ve been talking about it around the boardroom table for weeks if not months, with the employees often unaware of what’s coming.

Then we let our Change Manager loose, who then comes out of the blocks like a Bull in a China shop shouting “Let’s Go, Go, Go” building fear and anxiety into the majority of your staff and starting the whole cycle of disengagement and lack of confidence again.

That’s why I created my eLearning Library of 50+ modules covering Emotional Intelligence topics like Confidence and Communication.

Two of the biggest sticking points for many employees, potential leaders and sometimes even existing leaders. Emotional Intelligence builds the ability for individuals to keep up with the company and that’s really what you want, isn’t it?

Although branded with my Self Confident Women logo, my eLearning library can be accessed and used by men and women equally.  The benefits for your employees and your business could be huge.

We have 12 month Corporate Memberships available giving your employees 24/7 access so they can complete training modules whenever they see fit. Or training can be used as a team building exercise with a Lunch N Learn conversation and the team practicing their new skills and reporting back on the results.

Click here and check out the topics currently available.

If you purchase by 30 June, every staff member will also have access to my 12 Self Development ebooks (RRP $106.80).

If you would like more information about Corporate Membership for your staff, please contact me directly on 0418 482 450 or glenise.anderson@srgroup.net.au.

And yes, we do have credit card facilities to make it easier than having to set up a supplier account.

Let me know if you have any further questions about online training, workshops or speaking to your employees about how to Step IN – Transitioning Change with Confidence.

Until next time.
